Sustainability
Caring for our environment, communities, and team.
Creating lasting value through responsible stewardship
Cypress Creek Energy is in the business of building energy infrastructure that helps power a growing America, and our commitment extends far beyond the energy we generate.
We are committed to operating responsibly, prioritizing health and safety in all that we do, and creating long-term value for our people, communities, and partners. Sustainability is integrated into our business, from reducing our greenhouse gas emissions and advancing environmental stewardship to investing in workforce development, supporting local communities, and maintaining strong governance practices.
We are mindful of the impact we have on the communities and environments we touch. Through practices such as recycling and waste reduction efforts, sustainable procurement, agrivoltaics, ecovoltaics, and thoughtful consideration for land, water, and habitat, we work to support the long-term health and resilience of the places where we live, work, and operate.

Caring for Our Environment
At Cypress Creek, we carefully deploy our resources and are dedicated to mitigating our impact on the environment.
Pollinators
We established pollinator-friendly vegetation at 10 of our owned and operated projects in Minnesota, Maryland, and New York. Seed mixes include native species that provide habitat and food sources for pollinators through the growing season.

National Forest Foundation
In December 2023, Cypress Creek became a corporate sponsor of The National Forest Foundation, making a $17,300 donation to plant trees equivalent to the number cleared by the commercialized projects in our 2023 portfolio.

Solar Grazing
Cypress Creek owns and operates 13 solar facilities in North Carolina and Minnesota that used sheep grazing for vegetation management in 2023, and we continue to explore grazing opportunities at other project sites including in Illinois and Vermont.

Benefiting Communities
At Cypress Creek we honor our Good Neighbor Commitment to establish sustainable relationships with our community partners.
High School Scholarships
In 2023, we established our Energizing Tomorrow’s Leaders scholarship program for graduating high school seniors, and in two years we have awarded more than $115,000 to students across the country.

Workforce Development
Cypress Creek provided $25,000 to North Carolina’s Piedmont Community College in 2023 for programs that help meet the growing workforce needs of the energy industry.

Helping Underserved Communities
Cypress Creek was honored to donate $25,000 to North Leupp Family Farms, a 100-acre community nonprofit located on the Navajo Nation, about 45 miles east of Flagstaff, Arizona, to help meet the energy needs of their expanding community resources.
