Cypress Creek Renewables Partners with Project Vanguard to Bring Together Veterans in Clean Energy
Nov. 5, 2025 – DURHAM, N.C. – North Carolina Veterans gathered this week to network, swap stories, and advance career opportunities at an event sponsored by Project Vanguard and Cypress Creek Renewables.
The happy hour event, held at Cypress Creek’s office space in Durham’s Research Triangle Park, brought together veterans working in clean energy as well as those looking for career opportunities powering our nation.
“Seeing all these veterans together reminded me why I’m a proud member of Project Vanguard. It’s about more than jobs or networking. It’s about community, purpose, and service after service. The same grit and teamwork that carried us in uniform are the same traits driving the clean energy future,” said Greg Gebhardt, Director of Government Affairs at Cypress Creek and Lieutenant Colonel, US Army Reserve. “I’m proud that Cypress Creek Renewables is helping create a space where veterans can continue to lead, build, and power what’s next.”
