Cypress Creek congratulates Washington’s leadership on passing SB 5910
Cypress Creek congratulates Governor Inslee and the leadership of the Washington state legislature on passing SB 5910. In addition to accelerating the availability and use of the renewable hydrogen in Washington State, this bi-partisan legislation will require the Department of Revenue to develop industry-specific trend tables for solar and wind facilities and a cost-based appraisal model to advise county assessors during the appraisal process.
Through the fair taxation of renewable energy facilities, SB 5910 will ensure that Washington’s leading clean energy policy translates into long-term in-state economic benefits including both direct capital investment and local property tax. This will improve the security and reliability of the state’s energy supply by keeping more power generation in-state. Cypress Creek looks forward to engaging on implementation of SB 5910 and continuing to support Washington’s clean energy goals.
