Inaugural Employee Volunteering Challenge

Over the past few weeks, Cypress Creek employees across the country participated in a Go Green Challenge, in partnership with EarthShare. This program provided the platform and support for our employees to volunteer and receive recognition for individual sustainability actions.

Over three weeks employees logged sustainability actions and participated in volunteer activities. We are excited to report the following totals of our sustainability actions. In just three weeks, Cypress Creek employees’ efforts resulted in:

Senior Project Engineer Charlie Humes, who charted the most sustainability actions at the company during the challenge, said, “I have been working in solar for the past 12 years, and I enjoy working towards a more energy efficient and renewable future. A part from our day jobs, we can all do our part to make our world cleaner and healthier.”

As a part of the challenge, employees were given three hours to volunteer during work hours. In each local office and in remote locations, Cypress Creek Ambassadors were nominated to identify group volunteering activities. Some of the highlights of our challenge include the Santa Monica office beach cleanup and our Sacramento office’s work with Habitat for Humanity and our Research Triangle Park – Durham office’s activity with Beyond Fences.
